Medina es un MUD (Multi-User Dungeon). Un juego de ordenador multiusuario en formato texto. Se juega en linea (requiere conexión permanente a internet) y transcurre en tiempo real.

Mediante ordenes escritas hacemos que nuestro personaje viva aventuras en el mundo fantástico de Medina.

Se requiere disponer del comando telnet en el ordenador (incluido en todos los sistemas operativos modernos) y es recomendable jugar con un cliente de MUD, un programa especifico para jugar a los MUD que nos hace mas fácil la experiencia.

Mastodon



Hemos visto en Reddit (/r/MUD) que hace unos meses se ha reabierto la instancia "mud.social" de  la red social Mastodon:


MUD Social - A Mastodon instance for promotion and socialization of text-based games

With the recent resurgence of the fediverse, as well as the exodus of certain social media websites, I've revived the Mud.social Mastodon instance. The original instance was run by another individual, and as such, no accounts that were on that instance exist on this one. My hopes are that this can be used as a tool to promote MUDs and MUD-related software beyond Facebook and Twitter, as well as for MUDs to create official accounts for advertisement of events and other status alerts.
